Serving Northern Indiana, Chicagoland & Beyond

Based in Walkerton, Indiana, CDS Laser & Design brings live engraving to corporate events across South Bend and Mishawaka, Elkhart, LaPorte, Valparaiso, Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland.

Standard service covers events within about 30 miles of our home base. We're happy to travel farther, up to a few hours away, and events beyond 30 miles may include a travel fee in your quote.

Planning & Venue Requirements

Venue approval

On-site engraving requires approval from your venue. We're happy to share equipment details with your planner or venue coordinator to help with their review.

Safe equipment placement

The engraving station needs a stable, safe location with room for guests to watch without crowding the work area. We'll confirm space needs once we know your venue and products.

Power access

Suitable electrical access is required at the station location. Power needs are confirmed during planning.

Ventilation

Laser engraving requires appropriate ventilation. Suitability depends on the venue, the room and the materials being engraved, and is reviewed before your event is confirmed. In the event we need to use an air purifier, we come prepared with a small portable device. 

Event logistics

Load-in access, setup and teardown times, parking and on-site contacts are coordinated with you and your venue ahead of the event.

Product compatibility

Not every product can be engraved on site or at the same speed. We'll recommend items suited to live personalization and review any branded merchandise you'd like to provide.

Guest capacity & turnaround

How many guests we can serve depends on the products selected and the complexity of each personalization. We'll build a realistic plan around your guest count during quoting.

Insurance

CDS Laser & Design carries $1 million / $2 million liability insurance. A certificate of insurance can be provided for your venue on request.

What's included in The Signature Experience?

The Signature Experience starts at $1,500 for up to 2 hours of live engraving with select products included. Additional engraving time is $300 per hour. Premium product upgrades may adjust pricing, and events beyond about 30 miles may include a travel fee.

How are The Brand Experience and The Premier Activation priced?

Both are custom quoted. Pricing depends on event length, the number of stations, products, personalization complexity, travel and any custom requirements.

Can our logo be included?

How far in advance should we book?

As early as you can, especially for November and December holiday dates. Send us your date and we'll confirm availability.

Can live engraving be part of a larger gifting program?

Yes. CDS also produces corporate gifts, awards and branded merchandise in our shop, so your live event can be paired with employee or client gifts made ahead of time.
